Peace Takes Daily Practice and Courage to Cut the Toxic Relationships

This may be hard for some to believe, but the goal to living in peace takes practice. Peace takes daily action to maintain. If you want to live in your own personal harmony, put in the work, and commit daily to it. You will discover that peace flows into every area of your life once you create it for yourself first. Some people are living in toxic relationships and don’t know how to get out of it. They are aware of the bad things, they are seeing that their health is suffering and despite all these, they are blocked and see no resolution for their situation. It is not easy to reconcile with the others, to find harmony – it takes a daily effort for building it and when efforts are useless, it takes the courage to rise above instead of constantly trying to fix everyone else and their ways.

We don’t realize the value of our own peace until it’s gone. Moments such as not getting enough sleep, being awake too long, having too little time for ourselves, bad relationships, putting your feelings on hold, can lead to stress. Many of these things can be prevented by practicing good self-care instead of focusing on others. Peace is a good thing. It doesn’t mean that everything has to be calm and quiet all the time. It would rather mean that you remain calm and centered in the middle of whatever noise and chaos there may be in your life. It means you have a sense of serenity. Of course, it is obvious that you cannot ignore the context you are part of and this is influencing you a lot. That’s why it is important to pay attention to the environment that surraounds you and if it doesn’t contribute much to your peace, it is time to take a decision.

Sometimes the best decision is to take distance from toxic people and to start to build your own universe, with your own rules and principles, so that you may keep the peace that allows you to develop yourself and evolve. We all have toxic people in our lives. Friends, family members and even coworkers can sometimes be toxic to us. Many of us want nothing to do with these people but we aren’t sure how to get rid of them. Everyone has to deal with a toxic person at some point. It’s a situation that’s more complex than it appears, especially when the person isn’t actually toxic but our perception of them is the problem. Moreover, when emotional attachment is involved in the relationship with such a person, it becomes even harder to be firm and take a decision that imposes distance and limits. But even if it is difficult, is the healthiest attitude you could adopt if you want to maintain your mental balance and to evolve further.

Living or working with a toxic person is exhausting. It drains you, leaving you feeling and acting less than your best. It is what pevents you to fulfil your real potential while keeping you in a confort zone, far from peace and balance, but full of toxicity and negative emotions. Only when realizing that having a simple, quiet and peaceful life is very important for our health, we could decide what’s best for us. How to build a peaceful life is what many people are looking for. While there are numerous ways to achieve this goal, many of us are passing first through difficult storms. Besides passing through difficult moments and breaking up the vicious circles of toxic relationships, it is very important to have a daily practice that ensures a minimal peace in your life.

We cannot ignore the stress of modern life, the noise of the stressful events that happen around us, but we can create a peaceful place for us where we could meditate, connect with ourselves and reduce stress. Balance and peace of body, mind and spirit is the key to achieving the goals you want in life, either as a person or business. The world today is a very fast paced competitive environment that’s a rat race at times. The only person who can bring balance and peace to your life is you. For this, you need to know the direction, to have a scope and to discover what makes sense for you. Once you know what’s best for you, it will be very easy to define the steps and how “peace” looks like based on your philosophy and not based on others values, perceptions and ideas.
